Abstract

A method is developed for analyzing electromagnetic processes in an end cylindrical inductor with a ferromagnetic core for contactless excitation of high-density current pulses in a processed metal with respect to the use of the electroplastic effect in special methods of plastic deformation based on additional exposure to high-density current. Determination of the electrical parameters of the inductor is performed by computer simulation using the finite element method. The current pulse in the inductor was excited by discharging the capacitor using a controlled thyristor and in the presence of a diode shunt capacitor. Nonstationary, nonlinear electromagnetic discharge processes in the circuit are considered using the known in theoretical electrical engineering dependencies by numerical solution of nonlinear equations, and the current density distribution in the metal by the finite element method.
